As you might or might not know, Viva Glam is MAC's special collection they come out with every now and then with a special celebrity representing the new collection such as Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and many more did in the past. Every single cent they earn with the selling of Viva Glam products goes to the MAC Aids Fund, which in my eyes, is such a great thing MAC started there.
First of all, here are some swatches:
top to bottom: Viva Glam Miley lipstick, Viva Glam Miley Lipglass, VG Miley Lipstick + Lipglass on top
Packaging: They went back to the classic Viva Glam packaging they used to have. Which I personally like better than the red velvet packaging they did for the Rihanna Viva Glam campaign.
Lipstick: The lipstick is a Amplified finish, which means it's quite creamy but quite pigmented. The colour is abolutely amazing. It is slightly neon but it's definitely wearable. I find even on my very fair skin tone it still looks good. With the Nicki Minaj Viva Glam lipstick I found it was quite neon as to where it looks a bit off on fair skin tones like mine. The colour is such an amazing hot pink, I absolutely love it and I'm definitely going to be wearing it a lot in summer.
Lipglass: As you can tell from the swatch, the lipglass is very very shimmery and glittery. Which usually, I don't like in a lipgloss but it looks amazing put on top of the lipstick and probably any other pink lipstick as well. You can also wear the lipglass on it's own and it will give a slight pinky sheen since it does have a bit of colour in it too. Not as pink as it looks like in the tube though. I have to say the lipglass is quite small for a lipgloss (idk if all their lipglasses have the same size but it is quite a tiny tube for the price), but I still love it anyway. Especially since it's for charity I don't really mind the small tube that much.
I personally think Miley did a great job with her Viva Glam lipstick and lipglass. It's a great pink and definitely not even close to the pink colours Nicki and Lady Gaga brought out with MAC. These three definitely are completely different pinks. If you like a bit darker, hot pink lipsticks, then this one is definitely for you!
