Make-Up Favourites // One Product of each Category

Hello beauties!

Today I am sharing with you my make-up favourites in each category. I have a feeling this is going to be a long blogpost so let's just get started, shall we?

Base Products

Primer: Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer; It's a great drugstore primer that really makes the make-up sit nicely on the skin and last longer.

Face Mist: MAC Fix+; I use this before foundation as well as after all my base make-up is done to reduce the powdery look from all the bronzer, blush, setting powder because they tend to emphasize the fine hairs on your face.

Radiance Base: MAC Strobe Cream; Gives a nice glowy, dewy look to your foundation you put on top of it.

Foundation: Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation (Shade 01 Porcelain); One of the very rare brands that make foundations for really pale people like me! The Skin Foundation is a watery consistency with light to medium coverage if you put on a few layers. It looks very natural on the skin, perfect as a starter foundation.

Concealer: MAC Pro Longwear (Shade NW15); There is no better concealer than this. NW15 is my exact skin shade, so I am a bit sad there is no lighter version of this to use as a highlight under my eyes but I wear it under my eyes anyway. It does not crease as long as I set it right away with my setting powder.

Setting Powder: e.l.f. Studio HD Undereye Setting Powder // Essence All About Matte; The e.l.f. powder I use under my eyes and the Essence one is a nice setting powder for all over the face.

Blush: Benefit Rockateur; Smell amazing, has a nice sheen to it so you could get away with not wearing any highlighter and it's the perfect rosey mauve colour. Especially nice in the fall months.

Highlighter: theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer; Intense highlighter that everyone loves and I can definitely see why. It's easy to go a bit overboard with this so definitely be careful and use a light hand.

Bronzer: Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer (Shade #52); It smells like chocolate so that's a definite plus for me. Also the colour is very nice and it has fine shimmers through it which do not transfer to your face too much, it just gives a nice healthy glow to your face.

Contour: MAC Harmony Blush (Dupe: NYX Taupe Blush); I barely ever contour my face, usually because I am too lazy but if I do, I will use MAC Harmony blush or the cheaper alternative that is NYX Taupe blush!

Eye Products

Brows: ModelCo Brow Gel (Shade Light/Medium); Very similar to the Benefit Gimme Brow as to the size as well as the wand and colour pay-off. They both have fibres in them to not only give your brows a bit of colour and hold but also fill them in if they are a bit sparse.

Eyeliner: Catrice Kohl Kajal (Shade 010 Ultra Black); I do not use any gel or liquid eyeliner even, probably because I am horrible at doing it and I have hooded eyes so it's quite hard to pull it off, but I do use a Kohl Kajal for my upper waterline to make my lashes look a lot fuller.

Mascara: Benefit They're Real; Have not yet come across a mascara that makes my eyelashes look as amazing as this one does. Also it lasts amazingly on my lashes and does not transfer (panda eyes are definitely not a look to go for).

Eyeshadow: MAC Patina; I use this every single day all over my lids. It's the perfect everyday, natural browny shade that's not too overwhelming and dark. It just gives a nice wash of colour to your lids.

Inner Corner Highlight: MAC Nylon; This is definitely a in-your-face kind of highlight for your inner corners. It does contain shimmer/glittery quite intensely so I would not recommend it for a browbone highlight unless you use a very very light hand. But as an intense inner corner highlight this is definitely my go-to.

Lip Products

Lip Pencil: MAC Subculture; I find this to be the perfect nude lip pencil ever. I barely ever use lip pencils but when I do, this is usually it.

Lip Gloss: Buxom (Shade White Russian) // L'Oreal Indefectible Mega Gloss (Shade 103 Prostest Queen); I know I said there would be only one product in each category but let's be real - nobody can just pick one lip product as their favourite one. So for a gloss to put over nude lipsticks I absolutely adore Buxom's White Russian. As a lipgloss to wear on it's own I love the L'Oreal Indefectible Mega Gloss in the colour 103 Protest Queen. I adore this colour so much, it's the perfect nude for my skin tone and the pigmentation is great as well. Also they quite smell yummy.

f.l.t.r.: MAC Subculture, Buxom White Russian, L'Oreal Protest Queen

Lipstick: MAC (Shade Faux) // Chanel Rouge Coco Shine (Shade 86 Instinct) // Rimmel by Kate Moss (Shade 107); Same goes for lipsticks - I couldn't decide on just one shade. I absolutely love MAC lipsticks, they are definitely my top favourite lipsticks ever. When it comes to my favourite shade, it has to be Faux. For a more natural, not so pigmented lipstick I absolutely love the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks, my favourite one is the shade 86 Instinct. And for dark lipstick my all time favourite is Rimmel by Kate Moss in the shade 107. It's the perfect dark red I have ever come across, I even own two of these just in case I ever run out of it.

I really hope this was helpful to some of you and interesting to read. I would love to hear about your favourite make-up products!

    1. I get elf either straight from the elf website, they do have a german/austrian website for elf; or from beautyjoint. i don't own any colourpop make up, still waiting for their international shipping to come around, the balm i get mostly from feelunique.com or iparfumerie or douglas now started selling thebalm as well. i'd say from retail stores my main sources are feelunique, iparfumerie, beautyjoint, douglas and the rest i mostly purchase off of the original website :)
