A Day in Venice, Italy

Last week my parent, my fiancé and I went on a short beach vacation in Italy and decided to make a day trip to Venice while we were there. I'm not the biggest beach person on earth, I get bored very easily and I have a severe fear of fish so let's just say the beach is not my favourite place on earth haha. Luckily my fiancé is a very spontaneous person and doesn't mind long car drives so we went to Venice.

It's a beautiful city and I've been there twice now. I had been there before with my family when I was probably around 14 and didn't really think much of the city back then. It all looked very similar and old, nothing interesting for a 14 year old to be honest. But I did want to go there again, and my fiancé wanted to shop at the lux stores in Venice anyway.

We drove to the city by car and continued to the heart of Venice with the ferries they have all around Venice. As you know, it's built around water so the only way to go to the centre of Venice is by some kind of ship, boat, ferry etc. or you could swim I guess LOL

Obviously the first thing you do is check out Piazza San Marco (St. Mark's Square). After that we did a little browse around the expensive luxury stores like Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent, Hermes etc.

Here are a few photos I took on the ferry on the Canal Grande of all the beautiful buildings Venice has.

And of course the famous Ponte di Rialto (Rialto Bridge) and one where we were right under the bridge going from one side to the other.

It was a beautiful trip and I highly recommend anyone to take a day or two to explore Venice if they get the chance. It's a beautiful city and famous for a good damn reason.
