TOP FIVE FRIDAY // Fragrances

Welcome back to another TFF; today is all about women's fragrances and even though they are quite hard to describe with words, I'll try my best to explain so let's go.
1. Louis Vuitton - Attrape-Rêves

This is my only luxury designer perfume but I fell in love with the scent when I first smelled it. It's quite a sweet, floral scent so if you don't like that, you might look into other Louis Vuitton perfumes. The top notes are Litchi, Ginger and Bergamot; the middle notes are Peony, Cacao and Turkish Rose while the base note is Patchouli. I think from just reading these notes you can tell it's going to be a floral, sweet scent. I do have to note that even though it has Turkish Rose as a middle note, it does not really smell that much like roses. So even if you don't like rose scents, you might actually still enjoy this one.

2. YSL - Mon Paris

I did not have that fragrance anymore so please just imagine it here; excuse this horribly photoshopped image though.

Another sweet, floral scent that I love but this one's got a bit of a fruity vibe to it as well. The top notes for this perfume are Strawberry, Raspberry, Pear, Orange, Tangerine and Bergamot; the middle notes are Peony, Jasmine, Datura and Orange blossom; and the base notes are Patchouli (again), White Musk, Vanilla, Moss, Cedar. As you can see, it's a very complex perfume with a lot of different notes but I love it. You might be able to tell too, I love Patchouli scents.

If you're interested in this perfume, you can find out on Lookfantastic, Douglas, Sephora or Feelunique.

3. Mugler - Alien Goddess

This just came out recently, it's the newest Mugler perfume and a nice spin on the original Alien fragrance. I personally don't find them to be very similar though if you didn't like the original Alien, you might love this one. Again, it's extremely sweet with a hint of coconut and vanilla, quite a summery beach scent if you ask me. But like I said, I love a sweet perfume. For this one, the top notes are Coconut Water and Bergamot; the middle notes are Jasmine and Heliotrope and the base notes are Bourbon Vanilla and Cashmere.

Did you get curious? Check out the fragrance on Lookfantastic, Douglas, Sephora or Feelunique.

4. YSL - Black Opium

This for me definitely has a deeper scent which is why I love it more during the fall and winter seasons. It's still a sweet scent, don't get me wrong but it just has a little heaviness and depth to it than the other ones I mentioned didn't have. Here, the top notes are Pear, Pink Pepper, Orange Blossom; the middle notes Coffee, Jasmine, Bitter Almond, Licorice and the base notes are Vanilla, Patchouli, Cedar, Cashmere Wood. Truly I'm not surprised that yet again, patchouli is in the base notes.

If you want to get it yourself or for your loved one, you can buy it on Lookfantastic, Douglas, Sephora or Feelunique.

5. Jean-Paul Gaultier - Scandal

This one I also love more during the fall and winter months as it has caramel and honey notes and to me, they're quite heavy scents that just work better in the colder months. The top notes for this perfume are Blood Orange and Mandarin Orange; the middle notes are Honey, Gardenia, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Peach and the base notes are Beeswax, Caramel, Patchouli and Licorice.

If you're interested in a bottle yourself, you can find it at Douglas or Sephora.
