TOP FIVE FRIDAY // Lip Balms

Hello my favourite people on the internet, I know it's Saturday while this series is called top five Friday but I had the biggest trouble with my camera. I hope you can excuse me for that. Anyway, let's talk all about my favourite lip balms because if you know me, I love smooth and hydrated lips so let's get right into it.

1. Kopari Lip Glossy

If I had to pick one lip balm to use for the rest of my life, it would be this one. I literally have three of the original, clear ones and I do also have one in the colour "birthday suit" which is more of a sheer shimmery pinky shade. Let me tell you that this smells so amazing, I want to eat it. I'm not sure what the scent is, it might be a cookie smell or some kind of birthday cake, I've not done research on that but it is ah-mazing. They often come in bundles with the original and birthday suit shade in one which saves you a bit of money as well.

What I love most about the Kopari Lip Glossy (despite the yummy smell) is the extreme shine. I find a lip gloss usually dries out my lips just a tiny bit and also they're usually a bit sticky feeling or just a bit heavy so you feel them on the lips but with this, as it's more of a balm formula, it feels like you have nothing on your lips. If you are into big, juicy and glossy looking lips - this one is definitely for you.

It also comes in a nice squeeze tube so it's easy to use and handbag friendly.

You can buy them a lof of different places like Amazon, CultBeauty (they also have the duo here) or Revolve (also saw a trio kit.. what)

2. Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm

This one is a little bit pricey but Omorovicza is a well-known skincare brand so of course, their lip balm will be a bit higher in price too. Anyway, this one only comes in a tub which is annoying with lip balms, isn't it? I know sticking your finger into your lip balm tub is a mess, especially on the go because where are you supposed to wipe off your fingers.. so I would more likely recommend it for at home or even in the evening before you go to sleep.

It doesn't have a glossy finish and it is definitely heavier than the Kopari one, also the smell is very strong and minty so if you don't like mint, you might want to skip this lip balm. It is very hydrating though and I personally think the smell is quite calming, especially before bed.

Again, you can get it on CultBeautyNiche-Beauty or even LookFantastic.

3. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

An oldy but still a goody. The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask comes in several different shades/scents, I just happen to currently have the "Sweet Candy" in a little travel size. I used to have the big tub of the Vanilla one and also a travel size from the original pink scent (which is my personal favourite).

Again, a tub packaging but as the name would suggest, it is supposed to be used at night before bed. I personally would say the heaviness is the same as the Omorovicza, it just feels different on the lips because the mint scent gives it a more lightweight feel while the Laneige candy and vanilla scents make it a big, heavier in your mind. I love this one especially at night, it makes the lips super soft in the morning so if you have a date the next day, try using the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask the night before and for the extra softness and juicy look, put on the Kopari Lip Glossy in the daytime.

Shop it on CultBeauty or Sephora.

4. Laneige Lip Glowy Balm

Sticking with Laneige, they love us so much that they came out with a day-to-day use lip balm. This has a lighter consistency and a travel/handbag friendly squeeze tube (yay) and again, comes in various different scents. I love this one because first of all they smell great and they do also make your lips super glossy, just not as glossy as the Kopari one though.

They're super hydrating as well, just like their big sister the Lip Sleeping Mask. I know it seems like they have a tint to them but I don't find that the colour really transfers to the lips, they're all pretty much the same shade when you wear them.

Shop it on AmazonCultBeauty or Sephora.

5. Kylie Skin Lip Oil

My last favourite is the Kylie Skin Lip Oil which is clear and has a coconut scent. If you know me, you know I do love a good coconut scent, especially in the summer; it just gives me holiday and beach vibes. The packaging again is very travel/handbag friendly, it has a big doe-foot applicator (which is a little tricky to get out of the small hole though) which covers all your lips easily and I like that you can always see how much product is still in there. If you do use it over your lipstick or lip liner, it will probably get messy and get a weird colour so keep that in mind.

f.t.t.b.: Kylie Skin Lip Oil, Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Sweet Candy, Omorovicza Lip Perfecting Balm

It is again, super glossy since it's more of an oil but does not feel oily on the lips. I wouldn't describe it as an oil really, the consistency is just not oily to me at all, but I guess Kylie knows what she's doing right? It is definitely a little more sticky than all of the others I mentioned but I'm okay with that.

You can find it on KylieCosmetics, Douglas or Selfridges.

Can't wait to see you on my next Top Five Friday, have an amazing weekend.
