My Skincare Routine

Hello lovelies!
Today I thought I would share my every day skincare routine with you. In the future, there is also going to be a haircare routine and my tips for growing long, healthy hair, so stay tuned for that. But for now, here is my skincare routine:

Step 1: Face Cleansing

The very first thing I do is wash my face. In the mornings I will go straight in with my cleansing routine, while in the evenings when I wore make-up during the day, I will first take a standard hand soap and wash my make-up off with it. Then comes my cleansing routine.

I wet my face with water and take a bit of my trusty La Roche-Posay Toleriane Cleansing Milk on my fingers, then rub it onto my face. I find that a little goes a long way with this product. When my cleanser is on my wet face, I rinse my Foreo Luna Mini under the water and go over my face. If you prefer, you can also use the Foreo without a cleanser. Since it is completely waterproof, you can use it under the shower as well. If you want a in-depth review of the Foreo Luna Mini, check it out here.

After cleansing my face with these two products, my face is free off any make-up or oils that my face produced during the night. I notice such a big different if I don't use the Foreo for a few days. It's one of those products that you notice how good they are only if you don't use them for some time.

Step 2: Moisturizing

The key to nice skin is definitely the right moisturizer. If you have very dry skin, you might even use a oil to hydrate your face and a thick moisturizer is a good idea. If you have very oily skin, a thinner moisturizer might be a better choice because a very thick one might clog your pores and that can lead to pimples and breakouts. But one thing I recommend with very oily skin is oils. I know, this sounds quite scary for oily skin girls.. Why put on oils if your face is oily anyway? Well, because if you put on oils, your skin is going to reduce it's own oil production, so it's definitely worth giving it a try.

As for me, I have dry cheeks while my T-Zone is quite oily with little bumps on my forehead which is why I use two different moisturizers for my face. First I go on with my La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Legere on my forehead, this has a very light, watery consistency which helps smooth my forehead. I found that with my other moisturizer, the bumps on my forehead gets worse so I went with the La Roche-Posay one. On the rest of my face I use my holy grail moisturizer - the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection. This is probably my 6th bottle of this, I absolutely love it and cannot go a day without it. I have tried so many different moisturizers for my face but this one has to be the best one. It makes my skin feel super soft and moisturized without being sticky or too heavy, but it's not too light either so it really hydrated my skin.

Step 3: Deep Cleansing

If I was wearing heavy make-up during the day/night, say I have been on a night out, I like to first take most of my make-up off with the Garnier Micellar All-in-1 Cleanser. This is very similar to Bioderma while this is so much more affordable. I already have a back-up of this because I just love it, it takes make-up off like a dream, it can even handle Benefit's They're Real mascara which is a pain to take off. After that, I will clean my face with hand soap and then go in with my cleansing routine from Step 1.

For a real deep cleansing of my face, when my face has been feeling a bit gross or looking dull, I might have some blackheads or pimples, I use the Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask. I put it on my T-Zone or just on my nose if I feel like I have quite a lot of blackheads there. It's a quick way or deep cleansing your face since it is a 5 minute mask, it heats up on your face which feels amazing and it deep cleanses your face amazingly. I could not be without this. After 5 minutes, I just wash it off with a wet washcloth.

This is really all that is to my skincare routine. To some this might be so little but in my honest opinion, it does not depend on the amount of products you use, it's the actual products you are using. You can use 10 crappy products on your face that might not even be right for your skin type and still see no difference in your skin. If you found the right products for you, then these 3 or 4 products are enough to make your skin look healthy and glowy!

You just got to keep trying out a few different products or go get a facial or see a dematologist to get some help finding your skin type as well as products that might be good for your skin.

Hope this was helpful to some of you, see you next week
