TOP FIVE FRIDAY // Lip Glosses

Welcome to yet another Top Five Friday, today it's all about my favourite lipglosses. If I had to choose between lipstick or gloss, I'd always go for lipgloss tbh; so let's get into my top 5 (in no particular order).

1. Kylie Cosmetics "Klear"

Whether you like Kylie Jenner or not, I personally think she makes good makeup, especially with her lipglosses she has so many different shades and formulas too, she's got something for everyone. I decided to give her "Klear" shade a try which is just regular lipgloss without glitter or anything in it. It's not "clear" as it does have a slight pink tone to it but it pretty much translates clear on the lips. Well, I don't find it gives off a lot of colour anyway. It's very comfortable on the lips and I like the shine that it has. I'm really liking it so I'm soon going to try out a few more shades from her.

It's the perfect lipgloss to just put on even without a mirror, it's just easy and quickly re-applied during the day. It's a great on-the-go lipgloss.

If you want to purchase "Klear" or any other of her lipgloss shades, you can go to Douglas.

2. Maybelline Lifter Gloss "Ice"

This is very similar in colour to the Kylie Cosmetics lipgloss, the colour just seems a little lighter on the Maybelline gloss but again, it's nothing that really translates on your lips. As you can see, I love a good clear, faint pinkish gloss; I find them just very easy to throw in my handbag and re-apply during the day without having to add a lipliner or take out a mirror.

Again, it's very comfortable on the lips; they contain hyaluronic acid which is a hydrating acid, which is supposed to keep your lips plump and hydrated when using the Lifter Gloss. They don't have bright colours in this lipgloss range, it's basically just a bunch of different nude shades for different skin tones. So if you like nude lipglosses, you might want to try these.

Maybelline Lifter Gloss can now be bought on LookFantastic.

3. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb "Fu$$y"

When Rihanna came out with Fenty Beauty, she really hit us hard with her brand. Especially her glosses were a major hit for everyone in the beauty community. I personally really like them too. They are nicely pigmented as to where you actually see a difference in the shades, but they are not too pigmented. Her Gloss Bombs mostly have shimmer in them but there is also a clear one if I remember correctly. I wish you could also smell them through the computer because these glosses smell amazing. The small reminds me of my childhood but I just cannot make up my mind on what it is. The Fenty Gloss Bombs are a bit sticky so if you don't like sticky glosses, you might not like these too much; I really don't mind it though.

The shade "Fu$$y" is my personal favourite because it's more of a pink shade which I find more flattering on my fair skin tone but Fenty Beauty does offer different shades for these as well.

Purchase Fenty Beauty now on Sephora.

4. Marc Jacobs Hi-Shine Gloss "Sugar Sugar"

This one got made really popular by Jaclyn Hill back in the day. It looked so stunning on her, like the perfect nude shade and nicely glossy so I remember how badly I wanted it. I had to jump through hoops in order to get it because Marc Jacobs was so hard to get in Europe. I only have a travel/mini size of this because I had a lot of lip products at the time and didn't want to waste products.

It is indeed a beautiful nude shade, it's got a tiny bit of a pink undertone which I personally love for my skin tone as you already know. It's a lot more pigmented than the other lipglosses I mentioned in this post but the formula is amazing in the lips and it's not as sticky as the Fenty Gloss Bombs in my opinion. This lipgloss is definitely an oldie but a goodie.

You can get Marc Jacobs Beauty on Sephora.

5. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb "Fenty Glow"

Probably the most loved shade of all the Fenty Gloss Bombs is her original "Fenty Glow". It's a deeper shade than Fu$$y and I can see why people love it; it's extremely flattering on deep or tan skin tones. On my fair skin, this is definitely not a nude at all, it's a nice fall/autumn shade though and I do wear it from time to time because I love the colour; it's a shade that I have to be in the mood for though.

f.t.t.b.: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in "Fu$$y", Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in "Fenty Glow"

If you do have a deep or more tan skin tone, I definitely recommend checking out the "Fenty Glow" shade from Fenty, it's just a gorgeous lipgloss for deeper complexions.

Again, this one can be found on Sephora.
