Monthly Favourites: August 2015

I thought since most beauty bloggers do, as well as every single beauty guru on Youtube, I might as well do a "Monthly Favourites" series on my blog as well. So here are, as promised, my favourites products of the month August 2015:

Skincare

1. MAC Fix+ - Not sure if you would classify this as a skincare product but I have absolutely been loving this product this month. I love to use it throughout the day as a refresher on my face if it's hot and sweaty outside, as well as a primer under my make up as a setting spray when I am done with my face make up to make the powder less powdery and noticable on my face (You know when you use powder and it clings onto all your fine hairs on your face? Not cute.)

2. Foreo Luna Mini - Not shown in my preview picture because it was in my bathroom and I forgot to bring it for a picture but still a definite favourite of this month for me (and pretty sure for all the other months coming as well). I haven't had this little tool for too long but I have been using it ever since I got it regularly in the evening before bed and if I got enough time in the morning, I will use it in the morning as well. If you want a full read of the Foreo Luna Mini, check out my in depth review here.

Make-Up

3. MAC Lip Pencil in "Dervish" - I recently went on a hunt for all the nude MAC Lip Pencils like Boldly Bare, Dervish, Soar, Whirl etc. and I have to say Dervish is my top favourite after Subculture that I have been using for years now. Obviously, Subculture is more of a browny nude while Dervish has that mauve, pinky tone.

4. Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in "White Russian" - What I really liked to do this month is slightly fill in my lips with MAC's Dervish and put Buxom's White Russian gloss on top. I find it's an amazing lip combination that makes my lips look quite full for a change. Also, the smell of Buxom's Full-On Lip Creams is incredible. If I could eat it, I would.

5. Benefit Watt's Up Highlighter - Favourite Highlighter duo has definitely been Watt's Up in combination with the Laura Mercier baked highlighter. Love using Benefit Watt's Up on my cheeks first since it is a cream highlighter and the Laura Mercier one on top of it. Gorgeous!

6. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder - Expensive product that is worth every penny if you are looking for amazing glowy cheekbones without glitter all over your face. It's such a subtle highlight but it makes your cheekbones pop. For more details and swatches check out my review here.

7. Bourjois Delices de Poudre aka Chocolate Bronzer - Not only does it look super cute in it's chocolate bar packaging, but it does also smell like chocolate. Do not worry, the scent does not transfer to your face, it's very subtle but could there be a better smell for a bronzer? I think not. But besides the adorable packaging and nice smell, it is indeed a great bronzer as well. Mine is in the shade #52 but I am pretty positive there are a few different shades so there might be a #51 and a #53 as well! This does have little shimmers in it but they are definitely not glittery and sparkly. It just gives a nice, bronzy sheen like you're a goddess. Or Jennifer Lopez. Or both, since she is a goddess. Go check it out!

8. Real Techniques Blush Brush - This has been my ride or die brush. The name says it's a blush brush but I literally will use it for anything. I use it for bronzing up my face, I use it to blend out my contour and I use it for blush. Great all-rounder brush that is so affordable and by far the most amazing blush brush I ever came across!

I hope you liked reading about my favourites of this month. See you next month for September Faves!
